Mobile Phone Thefts New Malden/Coombe Vale

Mobile Phone Thefts New Malden/Coombe Vale

We're aware of a spate of mobile phone thefts recently in and around New Malden town centre. They have mostly been carried out by a person or persons riding a hire bike approaching people who have their phone in their hands and snatching it before riding away. They are often dressed all in black and wearing a face covering or balaclava.

To identify the offenders and bring them to justice, we will be carrying out proactive policing using a variety of tactics. If you have any information, including CCTV or Ring doorbell footage of suspects, please contact us as soon as possible.

Whilst we carry out this work, I urge residents to visit this MPS webpage for advice on keeping yourselves and your property safe: https://www.met.police.uk/cp/crime-prevention/personal-safety-how-to-stay-safe/mobile-phone-advice/
