Staying safe during Halloween and Bonfire Night.

Hello everyone,

With Halloween taking place this weekend along with some Bonfire night events across our communities in the coming week, here are some reminders to keep these events safe and enjoyable for all.

Halloween:

Being respectful in our communities, we understand that it is a time for children to have fun but it is important to keep safe and respect other members within our community.

Children should be accompanied by an adult or a responsible guardian. It is important to know the locations your children are going to and who they are with too whilst out ‘Trick Or Treating’. It is important to inform them to never go inside a stranger’s house and where possible to stay close to home.

Remember not everyone may wish to open their door during Halloween. People may feel frightened with persons knocking at their door, dressed in scary Halloween costumes and or unknown to them. If they do not wish to answer, please respect this.

Bonfire Nights:

There are lots of planned events across our communities but remember there are risks involved with fireworks and bonfires.

Officers will be conducting high visibility patrols to reduce anti-social behaviour where possible. If you see us, please come and say hello!
