🎃👻 Have a Safe, Respectful and Enjoyable Halloween 👻🎃

Happy Halloween, we know many families and young people will be looking forward to trick-or-treating, fancy dress and spending time with friends this evening.

We would like to remind everyone to stay safe, respectful and mindful of others while enjoying the festivities:

🍬 Only visit houses that are clearly welcoming trick-or-treaters, such as those with Halloween decorations displayed.

🚪 Respect residents' wishes if they choose not to take part and remember that not everyone celebrates Halloween.

🎭 Keep costumes fun and safe. Make sure masks don't affect your vision and choose bright or reflective clothing if you're out after dark.

🚶 Stay with friends or family and plan your route in advance.

🎃 Avoid causing damage, nuisance or distress to members of the community. What may seem like harmless fun can quickly become anti-social behaviour.

🐕 Be mindful of pets, elderly residents and younger children who may be startled by excessive noise or unexpected visitors.

🚗 Take extra care near roads and crossings, especially during the darker evenings.

If you're driving, please be aware of increased numbers of children and families out and about.
