Halloween is here! Whether you're out trick-or-treating, welcoming little witches and wizards to your door, or enjoying the spooky celebrations, we want everyone to have fun but mostly stay safe this evening! | |

Here are a few safety tips to help keep the night happy and fright-free:
* Check your video doorbell! Does your subscription cover recording? Make sure your battery, Wi-Fi, alerts and cloud recordings are working before you need them!
* Keep keys out of sight! Keep them away from doors, windows and letterboxes. Don't leave keys where they can be seen or hooked.
* Lock up, even when you're in! Keep front and back doors locked, even when you're at home.
* Is your house ready for darker nights? Check your porch lights and outdoor lights are working. A well-lit home helps deter opportunists and keeps visitors safer.
* Leaving windows open? Make sure they're secure and can't be pushed wider. Use secure vent positions or restrictors, especially on ground-floor and accessible windows.
* Trick-or-treating? Stay visible, wear something bright or reflective and carry a torch or glow stick so you can be seen by drivers.
Our Safer Neighbourhood Team will be out and about helping to keep our communities safe. Have a fang-tastic Halloween, look out for one another and stay safe!
