Suspicious Activity Around Vehicles - Dunraven Close
The Gower Neighbourhood Policing Team would like to make residents aware of a report of a male trying vehicle door handles on Dunraven Close on Wednesday 28 October. While the individual's intentions are unknown, this type of behaviour is often associated with attempts to identify unlocked vehicles and can lead to theft from motor vehicles or vehicle crime. We are therefore asking residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. How You Can Help Protect Your VehicleAlways ensure your vehicle is locked and secure when left unattended. Remove valuables from sight and avoid leaving items in your vehicle overnight. Keep vehicle keys out of view and away from doors and windows. If your vehicle has keyless entry, store keys in a signal-blocking pouch (Faraday bag) and disable wireless signals where possible. Park in a secure garage if available, or in a well-lit and busy location. Consider additional security measures such as steering wheel locks, alarms, or tracking devices. Fit number plates with anti-tamper screws to help prevent theft. Report Suspicious ActivityIf you witness suspicious behaviour around vehicles or have any information that may assist police, please report it: 999 if a crime is in progress or there is an immediate risk to safety. 101 for non-emergency reports. Online via the South Wales Police website. Anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or at www.crimestoppers-uk.org. Your vigilance and prompt reporting help us prevent crime and keep our communities safe. | ||
