🎆 Be A Bright Spark! 🎇

It's November and we're urging you all to be a bright spark this month when it comes to Fireworks.

Did you know that it's against the law to set off fireworks between 11pm and 7am?
With the exception of:
🔥 Bonfire night, up until midnight.
🎆 New Years Eve, Diwali and Chinese New Year until 1am the following day.

❗It is illegal for anyone under the age of 18yrs to buy or carry fireworks. Throwing or setting off fireworks in the street is also against the law.

Police can issue a £90 fine to anyone using or possessing fireworks illegally or setting them off during curfew hours.

What is the impact of firework misuse?
Used irresponsibly, fireworks can cause damage to property and do significant harm to people and animals. Not only is there a danger from fireworks exploding, they can also pose a serious fire risk as well.

This is why members of the public may only use fireworks on private property, such as their back gardens, and only licensed professionals can use them in public places.

Be safe on Bonfire Night and remember - this time of year isn't always enjoyed by everyone.

Be respectful.

Have fun responsibly.
