Cheshire Police are continuing to receive reports of groups of young people riding e-bikes and e-scooters around town centres, causing nuisance and putting themselves and others at risk.

The reality is that pursuing these riders is often challenging due to the vulnerability of those involved and the need to balance enforcement with safety. However, this behaviour is dangerous, anti-social and unacceptable.

Parents and guardians have a responsibility to know where the children in their care are, what they are doing, and whether they are using these vehicles responsibly and legally.

Please speak to your children about their behaviour and the risks involved before someone is seriously injured.

Our officers will continue to identify those involved, take enforcement action where appropriate, and work with partners to address the issue.
