🚔 HINDLEY TRAFFIC OPERATION 🚔

Yesterday, officers from your local Neighbourhood Policing Team joined colleagues from Wigan's Tactical Unit to carry out a targeted traffic operation across Hindley, following concerns raised by residents about speeding and road safety.

📍 Hall Lane Following reports of excessive speeding, officers stopped a number of vehicles and issued Traffic Offence Reports for speeding and vehicle defects, including illegal window tints.

📍 Liverpool Road Further enforcement activity took place this afternoon, targeting motorists who increase their speed after passing the speed camera. Several additional Traffic Offence Reports were issued.

⚠️ Motorists, please be aware: As we head into the darker evenings, we will continue to focus on vehicles with window tints that fall below the legal requirements. If your vehicle is not compliant, you can expect to be stopped and dealt with accordingly.

📢 Do you have concerns about speeding in your area? If there are roads or locations in Hindley where speeding is an ongoing issue, please let us know. Information from the community helps us identify problem areas and direct future enforcement activity where it is needed most.

We remain committed to tackling dangerous driving and keeping our roads safe for everyone.
