Police urge vigilance after car damaged in suspected sales scam |

People selling vehicles are advised to remain vigilant after potential car selling scams were recently reported in Suffolk in attempts to reduce the purchase price.
During Sunday afternoon 1 November sometime between 1.57pm and 2.30pm, two unknown male suspects have attended an address in Foxhall Road to view and purchase a car.
It is believed the suspects tampered with the engine components to make the car appear faulty and reduce the sales price.
Potential sellers of vehicles are asked to be mindful of who they invite to view their vehicles and always monitor their actions. They are also advised to retain all vehicle documentation such as logbooks/V5s prior to the transaction being completed.
