Rush Green featured during Rick's 5-and-a-half hour patrol of the ward today, which included all of Parish Fields, as well as a presence to deter college-based ASB (6.84 miles).

Joined by Parsloes SNT PCSO, Krisztina, for the opening 4.68 miles, the Eastbrookend Nature Reserve, Eastminster Riding School and Footpath 18 towards Rush Green's Harveys Lane were all covered, before checking off every street on Parish Fields.

After going it alone from Valentines Way, college hotspots, including Harveys Lane (12.47pm, p), the Thorntons Farm Avenue alley (1.04pm) and the car port in Fourth Avenue were visited, followed by the flats along Dagenham Road (p). 

The car port (1.44pm, p) and alley saw return checks, before visiting Barking and Dagenham College to speak to the Student Liaison Officer.

Fels Field and the country park were both included on the way back to Dagenham East.

"Today I learned that the borough is home to more than 40,000 trees. Pretty random, but definitely more than I imagined. I'm probably not going to count them though."
