Join us on Thursday 5th November at Fishermans Pub, Dowley Gap, Bingley between 11am and 2pm. Officers will be hosting a pop-up stall to be on hand to provide safety advice, JogOn campaign information, and resources. We are also running a FREE Bike Register bike marking event, to help to protect your bicycle and deter theft. We are working in partnership with the Canal and River Trust, so come along, have a chat with us, and find out more about the support and initiatives available in your area and on tow paths. As darker mornings/nights are upon us we want people to continue to keep active whilst out walking, running or cycling. We're continuing to support the #JogOn campaign, which raises awareness of the harassment and abuse experienced by female runners. Everyone has the right to feel safe while exercising. Behaviour such as shouting, making inappropriate comments, or acting in an intimidating manner is never acceptable and can have a significant impact on how safe and confident people feel when out enjoying their communities. For more information about the JogOn campaign, visit the West Yorkshire Police website https://www.westyorkshire.police.uk/jogon For bike marking information, visit The National Cycle Database | Bike Register If you require any further info regarding these events, or would like further support please get in touch. |
