CHANGES TO SADDLEWORTH & LEES COMMUNITY SURGERIES FROM JANUARY 2027 |
||
|
Dear residents.
The Saddleworth & Lees Neighbourhood Policing Team would like to inform residents that, from January 2027, the way we conduct our community surgeries will be changing.
Historically, our community surgeries have been held at various street locations across Saddleworth North, Saddleworth South, and Saddleworth West & Lees. We would advertise a location and park up within the area, allowing residents to come along and speak with members of the neighbourhood team.
Following feedback and a review of how we engage with our communities, we will be moving to a system of fixed community surgery locations within each policing area.
We hope this change will provide residents with a more approachable, consistent and dedicated location to attend, making it easier for people to access their local neighbourhood team.
The locations selected are centrally placed within each area and will be used for future community surgeries:
Saddleworth North - Delph Library
Saddleworth South - Uppermill Police Station
Saddleworth West & Lees - Lees Library
Why Do We Hold Community Surgeries? Community surgeries are an important part of neighbourhood policing and provide residents with an opportunity to:
We are committed to working alongside our communities, and these sessions provide a valuable opportunity for residents to directly influence the issues that matter most to them.
Whether you have a concern to raise, a question to ask, or simply want to introduce yourself to your local officers, we would encourage all residents to attend.
Dates and Times Coming Soon Details of all community surgeries scheduled for January, February and March 2027 will be published shortly. We will also provide reminders closer to each event through our usual communication channels.
We look forward to welcoming residents to these new locations and continuing to work together to keep Saddleworth & Lees a safe and thriving place to live, work and visit.
Regards
PS 1650 Andy Holian
