ASB Middletown

Armagh Neighbourhood Team had received numerous reports of Anti Social Behaviour in the Middletown area. Damage had been caused to homes, vehicles, the local Convent and people had been put in fear.

Thanks to the local community reporting the matter to us and engaging with the Armagh Neighbourhood Team we were able to dedicate resources to tackle this.

On Friday evening the Armagh Neighbourhood Team along with our colleagues in the District Support Team seized approx. 300 Fireworks and have identified 9 young people, with whom our Youth Diversion Officer will liaise with to determine an appropriate Criminal Justice outcome.

Whilst this operation was specific to Middletown, it highlights the importance of reporting these matters to Police and engaging with local Neighbourhood Officers so that we can address the issues, which ultimately results in people feeling safer in their own communities.

If you are having problems in your area please report online, through 101 or 999 in a emergency. If you wish to contact your local Neighbourhood officer the details can be found on the PSNI website under Armagh NPT.
