Local Community Partnership meet up on 04/11/2026 |

I recently attended the Local Community Partnership North East event, where I had the pleasure of meeting and engaging with a wide range of local organisations, charities, community groups and partner agencies that are working hard to make a positive difference across our communities. During the event, I shared some of the work being carried out by the South Norwood and Crystal Palace Safer Neighbourhood Teams, including our partnership work with Palace Life, Philomena Protocol visits that support vulnerable individuals and those at risk of going missing, and our ongoing welfare and engagement work with residents experiencing mental health challenges. It was also a pleasure to liaise with local councillors from Croydon, representatives from MIND, SYPC Confidence, and many other organisations dedicated to supporting residents and improving community wellbeing. The event provided an excellent opportunity to learn more about the valuable services available locally and to explore ways in which we can work together more effectively. I encouraged partners to sign up to Met Engage so they can stay informed, share their views, receive updates from their local policing teams and contribute towards local policing priorities. I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to Nicole Godetz, Magdalene Adenaike, James Moore, Head of Communities at Croydon Voluntary Action (CVA), and Andrew Slegg, Community Led Support for Croydon Council, for the invitation to attend and contribute to the event. The work being undertaken to shape One Croydon's Local Community Partnership across the Croydon North East locality is both important and inspiring. The event created an excellent platform to share knowledge, strengthen partnerships, identify local challenges and celebrate the excellent work already taking place across the community. The increased focus on developing Community Action Plans and establishing task-focused Action Groups demonstrated a genuine commitment to turning discussion into meaningful action that will help create safer, healthier and happier lives for local residents. The event reinforced the importance of partnership working, and I am keen to develop even stronger relationships with local initiatives, charities and community groups. I look forward to continuing to engage and collaborate with the many organisations, partners and active citizens involved in this work and to supporting future initiatives that benefit our communities. By working together, I am confident we can continue to make a positive impact in relation to the key priorities of Community Hubs, Mental Wellbeing and Young People. Thank you once again to everyone involved in organising and participating in the event. I look forward to working alongside you all in the future and building on the connections made to further support our local communities. PCSO Andrew Croce
