Reports of Potential Impersonation of Age UK |

|
Resident Good morning,
We have been made aware of two recent incidents involving suspected scam calls where the caller claimed to be from Age UK.
What Happened? While the legitimacy of these calls cannot be confirmed, the circumstances raise concerns that criminals may be attempting to impersonate trusted organisations to gather personal information or identify vulnerable victims.
Protect Yourself✅ Be cautious of unsolicited calls, even when the caller claims to represent a well-known or trusted organisation. ✅ Never provide personal, financial, or security information to an unexpected caller. ✅ If you are unsure, end the call and contact the organisation directly using a trusted telephone number obtained independently. ✅ Be particularly vigilant if the caller asks questions about your home, living arrangements, finances, or personal circumstances.
If You Receive a Suspicious CallPlease share this information with family members, friends, neighbours, and anyone who may be vulnerable to fraud.
Remember the ABC of Fraud Prevention:A - Never assume. B - Never believe. C - Always confirm.
