🚨 Community Alert: Firework Safety and Young People 🎆

Do you know where your children are and what they are doing this evening?

We continue to receive reports of anti-social behaviour involving fireworks across our communities. We are asking parents and guardians to speak with their children about the dangers and consequences of misusing fireworks.

Fireworks can cause serious injuries, fires, damage to property, and significant distress to residents, pets, and vulnerable members of the community. What may seem like harmless fun can quickly become dangerous and lead to police involvement.

✅ Know where your children are.
✅ Know who they are with.
✅ Talk to them about the dangers of fireworks.
✅ Remind them of the consequences of anti-social behaviour.

By working together, we can help keep our communities safe and ensure everyone can enjoy the firework season responsibly.

If you witness anti-social behaviour or criminal activity involving fireworks, please report it to West Yorkshire Police via 101 or online. In an emergency, always call 999.

Let's keep our communities safe this firework season. 🚔🎆
