Parking Enforcement Activity Around North Halifax Grammar School

Parking Enforcement Activity Around North Halifax Grammar School

Officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team have been working alongside Parking Services during October and November to address concerns regarding parking and road safety around the School Lane area of Illingworth. This activity follows multiple reports from residents and members of the school community regarding parking issues and safety concerns at school finish times.

On 3 November 2026, neighbourhood officers attended North Halifax Grammar School with Traffic Wardens following ongoing complaints about parking around the school.

During the operation:

🚗 3 parking fines were issued.
📋 2 police notices were issued.
✅ 5 drivers were spoken to, advised, and moved on.

Inconsiderate and illegal parking can create significant safety risks for pupils, parents, local residents, and other road users. It can also obstruct visibility, cause congestion, and restrict access for emergency vehicles.

We would like to thank the majority of motorists who park responsibly and help keep the area safe. Officers will continue to work with partner agencies to monitor concerns and take appropriate action where necessary.

Thank you for your continued support in helping to keep our communities safe.
