The Heathway Team, whilst on patrol yesterday (4th November 26) stop and searched a prolific shoplifter after he was seen discarding a bag when officers approached. The bag was searched and the male was found with a large quantity of retail goods he could not account for. This male was arrested for handling stolen goods. Enquiries with our retail contacts led to the items being identified as belonging to B&M. Further enquiries led officers to the correct B&M store, where CCTV footage showed the male arrested had stolen these goods.

The male was charged for theft and will be remanded for court in the morning.

A special thanks to our local retail contacts who helped us establish where the goods were stolen from.
