Rural patrolling

Rural patrolling

Evening all,

just a quick update from your Rural Task Force. We have been on late shifts this week and have been patrolling rural areas in Rossendale, Hyndburn and Burnley in an attempt to detect and deter crime. So far we have stopped 9 vehicles, utilised our stop and search powers on 8 occasions, seized a quanitity of illegal drugs, issued a Sec.59 Warning to a driver using his vehicle in an anti-social manner and have processed 3 separate charges in relation to organised rural crime.

We are out and about again tonight and will continue to do our best for rural communities. If you have any information regarding rural crime please get in touch and we will assist whenever possible.

Thanks for reading.
