Bonfire and Fireworks Night |
||
|
With Bonfire Night and the fireworks season approaching, Safer Neighbourhood Officers will be conducting increased evening and night-time patrols across the area to help keep our community safe. These patrols are aimed at preventing anti-social behaviour, reducing crime, and providing reassurance to residents during a period when there is often increased activity in our neighbourhoods. Officers will be paying particular attention to public spaces, residential streets, parks, open areas, and locations where concerns have previously been reported. We would like to remind residents to enjoy fireworks safely and responsibly. Please be considerate of your neighbours, pets, and vulnerable members of the community, and ensure that any fireworks are used in accordance with safety guidance and legal requirements. We ask everyone to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity, dangerous behaviour, or incidents of anti-social behaviour. A visible police presence helps make our community safer for everyone, and we appreciate your continued support and cooperation. Just a reminder to everyone:In an emergency, where there is an immediate threat to life, a crime in progress, or a serious risk to public safety, call 999 immediately. For non-emergencies, such as reporting anti-social behaviour, suspicious activity, criminal damage, illegal use of fireworks, or concerns about local policing issues, call 101 or report online via the Metropolitan Police Service website. If you wish to provide information anonymously, you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or visit crimestoppers-uk.org.
