Weekly Update from your local Bablake NPT
Dear Members Here’s your weekly update from myself and the rest of the team.
What’s Been Happening . Burglaries None reported this week 😊
. Vehicle Crime
There have been a few vehicle crimes reported in the past week.
Two vehicles were broken into. On both occasions, offenders have located a purse or wallet with money and cards inside. Offenders have taken them and proceeded to make purchases of high value.
We strongly urge you to never leave your purse or wallet in your car. Thieves think they’ve struck lucky and spend as much as they can on the cards before the owner notices that they are missing and cancels them.
Three vehicles have also been stolen. They were left locked and secure so not known how the offenders have gained entry.
Remember, you can mark all property with a UV marker making it easier for lost or stolen property to be returned should the worst happen. It is also a good idea to keep a record of where you marked the property and note down any serial numbers. You can register valuables at www.immobilise.com For more crime prevention advice visit: www.west-midlands.police.uk /crime prevention
. In other News
The team have been busy as usual.
Five arrests made this week. One for Failure to Attend (if you commit the crime, you will do the time as we will find you!!) Another one was for Harassment, and the others were for Domestic Violence offences.
We have also been investigating crimes and trying to identify offenders. This can take some time, but we will get there. These investigations also meant jewellery stolen in a burglary back in 2015, was found and identified. Soon to be reunited with the grateful owner who thought that she would never see them again.
We continued our patrols in areas that have been highlighted to us as Anti-Social Behaviour hotspots. Our patrols are working as a deterrent. With Halloween and Bonfire Night, we have been extremely busy patrolling areas that we know hold bonfire displays. This is to ensure the safety of all those that are attending. This has kept us busy for quite a few evenings.
Date for your Diary – 7pm Thursday 10th December at Allesley Village Hall, our next Police and Communities Together Meeting. If you have any concerns, please come along and share them with us. We will do our best to help resolve them.
Until next week Stay safe everyone. | ||
