I'm writing a quick message to alert residents and businesses to a trend we're currently experiencing roughly in THIS area pictured.

2 lads on an electric off-road bike.

Believed to be using a cloning device to duplicate signals that unlock a victims car/van/garage shutter or any device that uses a fob and stealing the items before leaving.

Typically in the evening between 7pm - midnight.

Last night an off duty officer spotted them around Yellowhammer but the offenders escaped.

We're doing what we can to catch them but in the meantime, take your tools out, keep your cars empty. For electric garage shutters you could manually turn the shutter off at night.

Consider using faraday pouches or at the very least not having your keys near the door.
