Dronfield and Rural Villages Remembrance Events
Officers from Dronfield Safer Neighbourhood Team were honoured to attend Remembrance events across the local area, joining veterans, cadets, community groups, local organisations, partner agencies and residents in paying tribute to those who have served and sacrificed for our country. The main Remembrance Parade and Service in Dronfield was well attended, with members of the community gathering to reflect on the courage, dedication and selflessness of the Armed Forces, both past and present. The parade, wreath laying and observance of the two-minute silence provided a fitting opportunity for remembrance and reflection.
In addition to the Dronfield parade, services in Unstone, Barlow, Holmesfield and Coal Aston, where communities came together to honour the service and sacrifice of those who have defended our freedoms. Across each village, residents demonstrated their continued commitment to remembrance by attending services and paying their respects in a dignified and respectful manner.
Dronfield SNT would like to thank all those involved in organising the events, including veterans' organisations, clergy, parish councils, volunteers, cadets and community groups. Their efforts ensured that each service was conducted with the utmost respect and provided an opportunity for current and future generations to reflect on the sacrifices made by those who served.
The strong turnout across Dronfield and the surrounding villages highlights the enduring importance of Remembrance and demonstrates the strength of our communities in coming together to honour those who gave so much in service to their country. Lest We Forget. 🌺 We will remember them. | ||
