Neighbourhood Alert Conference 2022
We were delighted to return to hosting an in-person conference on 25th March 2022 at the Nottingham Belfry. Many of our delegates joined us for drinks and dinner the night before followed by Roulette and Blackjack, spending the Bank of Neighbourhood Alert money!
Congratulations go to:
Nottinghamshire PCC Caroline Henry for her exciting win at our Casino Night. Her chosen charity was COPS, dedicated to helping the families of police officers who have lost their lives on duty, to rebuild their lives.
North Wales’s Superintendent Helen Corcoran for her impressive Human Bingo win – almost a full house!
At our Friday conference, six of our Police Forces plus Humberside OPCC presented working examples of evidence led engagement and registrations leading to representative communication with local communities. Supported by our leading partner organisations they also demonstrated how recent work is focused on ensuring that diverse and emerging communities have a fair voice across the system. Their updated presentations showcased the operational use of the Alert system and explained how common challenges have been overcome and how additional channels are now being provided to ensure that citizens have a renewed confidence with an inspiring way to communicate with their local teams.
We also heard from the CEO and Head of Membership and Community Engagement of Neighbourhood Watch Network how they are supporting Multi-Scheme Administrators to maintain Neighbourhood Alert data bases and strengthen Neighbourhood Watch nationally by providing governance and training.
